Postdoctoral Fellow

The Husain Lab is recruiting a wet lab postdoc in retinoid biology to lead mechanistic projects in vitamin A transport and RAR RXR signaling, with translational relevance in pancreatitis. Application instructions can be found at the link below:
 https://postdocs.stanford.edu/prospective/opportunities/open-postdoctoral-position-faculty-mentor-sohail-husain
The Husain Lab’s primary goals and investigative programs are to decipher the crucial signaling pathways that initiate and transduce pancreatitis, identify the factors that turn on pancreatic regeneration and recovery after pancreatic injury, and elucidate the mechanisms underlying specific forms of drug-induced pancreatitis (DIP) using genetic approach and stem cell transplantation strategies in combination with confocal microscopy, metabolomics, and spatial transcriptomics. The ultimate goal is to develop novel therapeutic and diagnostic approaches for both pediatric and adult pancreatic diseases and disorders.

Please contact us if you would like to join our team, support our research, or ask a question. We're always interested in recruiting outstanding team members, including post docs, to advance the field of pancreatic disorders. Many of our discoveries are intended for the clinical pipeline.
